Welcome
Welcome
If you're traveling to India for our wedding and do not already have an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card, you will need a valid visa to enter the country. Thankfully, the process is straightforward!
How to Obtain an Indian Visa:
e-Visa (Electronic Visa)
The easiest option for US passport holders is to apply for an Indian e-Visa online. The e-Visa allows you to stay in India for up to 60 days and is valid for tourism. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Visit the official Indian Government e-Visa website: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa
2. Complete the application form online.
3. Upload a passport-sized photo and a scan of your passport’s information page.
4. Pay the visa fee using a credit or debit card.
You will receive your e-Visa by email, typically within a few business days. Print it out and bring it with you when you travel.
Required Documents:
❀ A passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date of entry into India.
❀ A recent passport-sized photo.
❀ A digital copy of your passport’s information page (PDF format).
Timing:
We recommend applying for your e-Visa at least 4 weeks before departure to avoid any last-minute delays.
For those with an OCI card:
If you have an OCI card, you do not need a visa and can travel freely to India. Just be sure your OCI is up to date and valid for travel. If you have recently updated your passport, please ensure that your new passport number is linked to your OCI card.
We’re looking forward to celebrating with you in Udaipur! If you have any questions about the visa process, feel free to reach out.
