Welcome Dinner

After High Tea, we’ll transition into our Welcome Dinner, where you can enjoy a delicious meal as we formally welcome all of our loved ones to Udaipur. This is a chance for everyone to get acquainted and kick off the wedding celebrations in style. Feel free to come dressed in Western attire or embrace the colors and patterns of traditional Indian clothing.
Haldi & Mehndi Ceremony
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Attire: Bright Pinks and Yellows; Western or Indian Attire
Theme: Pink Lemonade Haldi: Fresh Fun and Bright Turmeric
The Haldi Ceremony is a fun and meaningful ritual where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom for good luck and glowing skin before the wedding. The Mehndi Ceremony follows, where intricate henna designs are applied to the bride’s hands and feet. Guests can also get small henna designs! Dress brightly in shades of pinks and yellows, as these colors symbolize joy and celebration.
Sangeet
Date: January 15, 2025

Attire: Colorful Indian Attire Encouraged
Theme: Mela (Indian Fair) Madness: Dance, Celebrate, Repeat!
The Sangeet is an evening filled with music and dance! Traditionally, it’s a time for both families to perform dance numbers, celebrate, and enjoy each other's company. This is one of the liveliest events, so come ready to dance, cheer, and experience the vibrant culture of an Indian wedding. We encourage colorful Indian outfits, but feel free to wear anything festive!
Wedding Puja & Varmala
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Attire: Indian Attire Encouraged (please no black attire)
This ceremony begins with a Puja, a Hindu prayer ritual, followed by the Varmala, a garland exchange symbolizing the couple’s acceptance of one another. It’s a spiritual and traditional start to the wedding day. Guests are encouraged to wear Indian attire, which is rich in color and tradition. Kindly avoid black clothing, as it is considered inauspicious in Indian culture.
Reception
Time: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Attire: Deep Purples, Blues, and Greens; Formal or Indian Attire
Theme: Peacock Royale: An Evening of Grace and Glamour
End the celebration with an elegant reception! Join us for an evening of dinner, drinks, and dancing. Whether you choose to wear formal Western attire or a stunning Indian outfit, this will be the perfect close to our wedding festivities.
