It all began in med school, where our paths first crossed during a research meeting. I (Sapna) was a first-year student, still figuring things out, when I noticed Vijay—a third-year who seemed to have it all together. I remember thinking he was pretty handsome, but I didn’t expect much more than a passing acquaintance. Little did I know, our story was just getting started.

Over the years, we had a few more chance encounters, nothing dramatic, just moments that somehow stuck with both of us. Then came my surgery rotation. Vijay was now a first-year surgery resident, and I found myself as the med student on his team. I looked to him for guidance and support, and he was everything I needed—calm, knowledgeable, and as I later found out, interested in getting to know me better.

One day, Vijay asked me out. It was unexpected, but somehow felt like the most natural thing in the world. That first date led to many more, and before we knew it, we weren’t just dating—we were best friends. We’ve traveled to Asia and Europe together, celebrated each other’s successes, and leaned on each other during the tough times.

Our journey has been filled with laughter, adventure, and a whole lot of love. Now, we're excited to bring our families and friends together to celebrate in Udaipur, where we’ll begin the next chapter of our lives, side by side.
